Thousands of Still Good biscuits for the Breakfast Club

19 July 2022

This summer, Still Good is thinking big and nourishing to support the mission of the Breakfast Club.. Donner nos biscuits faits d’ingrédients sauvés du gaspillage alimentaire aux élèves de la province? On embarque! Jusqu’au 31 août prochain, l’équipe de Still Good s’associe aux Les 3 Brasseurs
for a donation campaign to offer the organization 30,000 delicious revalued cookies.

Nutritious biscuits, energizing breakfasts

Since 1994, the Breakfast Club has worked with partners from all sectors to help children access a nutritious breakfast every morning. Its programs, such as its distribution of healthy breakfasts, allow young people to reach their full potential throughout their school career. On a daily basis, the Club’s actions help reach “more than 500,000 children in more than 3,000 programs across Canada.”

Lack of appetite, time, means or access to food… every morning, one in three children risks going to school on an empty stomach. The Breakfast Club works to make nutritious meals accessible, knowing full well the positive impacts of a full stomach on the well-being and academic success of young people.

Thanks to the Club, Still Good cookies are also distributed in schools. It must be said that our values align well! “Preparing upcycled cookies for the Breakfast Club is 100% in line with our social mission. It’s through this type of collaboration that we surpass ourselves year after year,” says Jonathan Rodrigue, founder and CEO of Still Good.

A donation campaign by Still Good and 3 Brasseurs

Loyal partners, Still Good and the 3 Brasseurs restaurant chain are taking their collaboration even further this summer. The synergy between the two companies is not new: Still Good recovers the spent grain from the brewing of 3 Brasseurs beer to transform it into ground spent grain flour, which it returns to the restaurants. In turn, the 3 Brasseurs team cooks with this flour, preparing its burger buns and fish and chips breading.

Why stop there? Until August 31, their food recycling cycle is getting longer. Each dish made with spent grain flour sold in one of the 11 3 Brasseurs branches in Quebec helps fill the Club des petits déjeuners cookie jar. In fact, for each dish tasted, Still Good adds a cookie to the total number of recycled cookies donated to the Club.

With this delicious donation campaign, Still Good hopes to provide 30,000 cookies to the organization. It’s simple: this summer, each “Beer Fish & Chips”, “Bacon & Cheese Burger” or “3 Brasseurs Burger” is transformed into a perfect breakfast biscuit.

To contribute to the campaign, choose a revalued dish during your evening at Les 3 Brasseurs or make an online donation on the Breakfast Club website. You can also share this Still Good initiative on social media!
